My friend DJ Prodigy asked me to list my top ten moments in Hip-Hop for an upcoming project of his. So without further wait. HERE WE GO in no specific order

1. The 1995 source awards where Suge Knight called out Puffy and started the East Coast/ West Coast Battle that eventually ended the lives of 2-pac and Biggie Smalls.



2. Pay attention to 2:00. The song rapture was the first music video that had rapping in it. AND IT WAS BY A WHITE GIRL(Blondie). Anyways so this exposed rapping to the world.



3. Aerosmith and Run DMC collaborating on the smash single Walk This Way. The single made the cross between rock and Hip-Hop. which paved the way for such bands as Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, and Slipknot. Also played a big part in the Hip-Hop band styles such as The Roots. Here is a video of Run-DMC explaing how the record came to be.



4. Herbie Hancock made a record with grandmaster DST and played it live on television to expose what we now know as scratching. The song is called Rockit.



5. MIMS made a record this is why im hot. and while this is not reall yhis fault the record went on to being the biggest hit and the began the RINGTONE era of Hip-Hop which we are in now.



6.Jay-Z becoming president of Def Jam marked a day where rappers were becoming CEO's. Period Thats It



7. Nas announced in 2007 that Hip-Hop is dead. I think this was a big statement and Hip-Hop spoke out. Me personally agreed and disagreed. but thats another story.



8. Youll Like this one Prodigy. my number 8. WAVE TWISTERS. A album made by nothing more than turntable sounds. Then they take it one step closer and made a fucking film.

9.President Obama Becoming president was big for Hip-Hop. An interview ran that said Obama listened to Hip-Hop and people ran with it. Several videos and millions of songs were made to announce there support for there candidate

10. Number you knew there would be atleast one Kanye post. Kanye West announces his next album will be full auto-tuned out. Now even the biggest Kanye West fan was cringing(Me). He debuted his first single for 808's and Hearbreak at MTV's VMA 2008 and was criticized heavily. But the album charted to number 1 in the matter of no time and gained popularity for its honesty and simple production.

SO THERE THE FUCK IT IS. THERE PROBABLY ALOT MORE BUT THESE ARE ONES THAT STUCK OUT IN MY MIND THAT PEOPLE SKIP. I WANTED TO BE DIFFERENT. COMMENT AND WATCH THE VIDEOS. THIS BLOG TOOK ME A COUPLE HOURS!!!-FURY
