If you know me personally you already know I am excited to hear Kanye's 4th album "808's And Heartbreak." As you have already heard the album is not your regular Hip-Hop album and is entirely sung by Kanye West with the help of Auto-Tune. When I sat down a vouple of months ago and saw the VMA's I was shocked to hear what I saw on TV. "Love Lockdown", the first single of the album was raw and filled with emotion but this Kanye's music was going somewhere where I could not imagine and even I was skeptical of the new releases to come. After a while evey one was singing the tune and was humming "Love Lockdown."

Leaks would eventually happen and I began hearing more songs that would eventually mold the album we now know. Songs like "Coldest Winter" reflect pain and hardship while songs like "Robocop" and "Heartless" are fun but still serious. What you see is art and I say that without trying to be all on Kanye's nuts (no homo). This is someone who can really say I think I am going to do a singing record and then do it and do it well.

you will begin to see Kanye's creativity and begin to see how clever his song writing is. "Welcome to Heartbreak" and "Say You Will" bring you into the pain and tears that Kanye wants you to feel and you sit there with a picture in front of you. The last song on the album is a live freestyle that Kanye preformed entitled "Pinocchio's Story." The song tells the story of Kanye trying to become a "Real Boy". I wish that this track was made into a real song but I guess the live version will have to do.

Now this album is good but not perfect. The album does have a depressing sound that seems to make all the tracks sound the same. Production wise it is different from you average Kanye album but the 808's make all the tracks seem quite repetitive.

Kanye has said that this music had to come out and people will enjoy it because it is real. Well we find out this Monday. All in all this is a wonderful album that will change the way we look at a hip-hop megastar. "808's And Heartbreak" is and album that will make history.
